It’s almost the same every year… kids, me, other people. Most things are very similar every year, but those very special differences are why I go, why I stay, and why I keep going. It has been different people every year, and I mean the Taiwan co-workers. They are all very nice, and very caring. This time I will talk about the VGM experience like I do every year, but more of the people and my surrounding than the kids or the overall “schedule”.
My cell group leader Beatrice wants me to use Chinese so I’ll give it a shot. (TRANSLATE) Let’s start from here.
(BACK TO ENGLISH) Ok, I’m done, I can’t… for every year that I have went, I have been very thankful that we have had them in our group, regardless of who they are and where they come from. They never cease to amaze me in the work that they do, they do so much for us and all I can do is thank them. They prepare most of the material that we need, and stay up to 12 or 1 when I’m sleeping around 11 (my dad’s rule). Every year I go, they stay up preparing for the next day to make the children’s learning better, and I just… sleep. It like while I’m drooling in my sleep, they are working hard, it feels bad. I’m not saying that we do nothing, I’m saying they do much more. With much more willingness.
And my teammates. Thank you so much. Thank you, Hannah, and the two others that were in my group, Yong Jing, and Apple. (SLIDE) As you can see in the pictures all I did as sit there and distract the kids from their learning… and that’s about it. I think I was there to keep the kids happy and lively, and get them to laugh, with which I think I did a great job if you ask me. That’s about it from me, you will hear something from me again next year, I promise.
